Holiday Celebrations Around the World – Art Show and Sale

Take-in: Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from Noon – 6:30pm
Take-down: Thursday, January 9, 2025 from Noon – 6:30pm
Location: Union County Community Arts Council, 327 S. Hayne Street, Monroe, NC 28112
Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 years of age or older. Work must be original and handmade by the artist. Entries in any medium are eligible for entry. UCCAC reserves the right to decline any artwork that does not meet our criteria for non-controversial, family-friendly, fine/folk art content.
Size: Entries up to 36” in width and/or height will be accepted. Small works submissions (less than 12”) are also encouraged to provide many holiday gift options in various price points for our visitors and patrons.
Preparation: Artwork must be properly framed and/or properly prepared for presentation. Artwork MUST be wired for hanging. For best results with our gallery hanging system, attach the back wire 1/4 to 1/3 of the way down from the top of your piece. Damaged frames or artwork will not be accepted. For 3D pieces, contact UCCAC in advance to discuss display options. 3D artists may be required to provide their own pedestal.
Label: Labels will be available at take-in to secure to each piece. UCCAC will provide a typed label for display.
Entry Fee: Artists may enter four pieces. There is no entry fee.
Sales: UCCAC retains a 30% commission of the retail sales prices on any works sold. Artists should price their works accordingly. UCCAC will provide a written Exhibition Agreement to be signed by the artist and UCCAC. Should you sell a piece, we welcome a similar-sized replacement.

Award
Exhibit visitors from show opening through the December 7th event will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite piece. The winning artist will receive a ribbon, and the artwork will be featured on UCCAC’s 2024 Digital Holiday Card.
