Bonnie Rusinko

Waxhaw, NC

Born in Chicago, raised in the Midwest and traveled with her Air Force husband, Steve, from the Pacific Rim to the cities of Europe. During their 10-year assignment to Europe, Bonnie discovered her God-given talent for art and began her journey learning from European art teachers for eight years. She returned stateside and shared her passion and knowledge by teaching others. She still finds it exciting to watch someone create something from a blank canvas. Bonnie and Steve made their home in Waxhaw in 1994 and became active in their community, church and several art councils. Bonnie gives 110 percent to support and encourage the arts. She takes great delight in staging Maxwell's Art Window with creative artwork from local artists for citizens and visitors to view the different art forms and styles of art. Most days Bonnie is in her studio painting vivid scenes from landscapes to portraits. She looks forward to sharing her blessing on her next canvas and cherishes the fact art can be so meaningful to all people...it can cross barriers and be enjoyed by anyone without spoken words.
