Ken Hutchins

Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1938. Received a BS from Alma college and an MD from the University of Michigan. Served for ten years in the US Navy and Marine corps. Specialized in Urologic surgery and practiced at the Nalle Clinic in Charlotte, NC until retirement in 2000. Began a study of art after retirement which has slowly progressed through wood working , wood carving, quilting and finally into fine art, painting in oils and watercolors. I have studied under several fine artists in the area and have developed a mostly representational style of painting. Most recently I have become very interested in the technique of fabric collage. I never tire of finding new outlets for my interest in the arts.
