Overview
Celebrate the art of slowing down while rescuing worn clothing with slow stitching and visible mending. Inspired by Japanese sashiko, boro, and contemporary embroidery, students will learn techniques that extend the life of clothing and embrace creativity and sustainability. No sewing experience required. You will learn - Basic embroidery stitches - Decorative patching - Sashiko-inspired stitching - Visible mending techniques - Textile repair - Mindful stitching practices You will create - A rescued piece of your own clothing
